Let's burn a hole so we can climb out.

I never want to look at this again. I'm sure there are parts that could look better, but I'm exhausted on this piece and I'm going to put it down as a learning experience.

It's a combination of elements from this guy's backstory, the main point being that he was incredibly manipulative. He built the city, and he was not afraid to burn it to the ground.

The buildings are supposed to be made of paper, hence the flatness. It's also the reason they're not to scale with the "puppets"... I suck at drawing buildings, but thankfully, this was deliberate.

Savanth and his everloving creepiness belongs to me.

This is how you know you need a haircut.

Jk, but this is eerie yet striking ly beautiful and original. I've never seen anything like this and I lvoe it. Not surprised it got Daily Devention.. Amazing- no FABULOUS- job on the lighting. I've just looked through your galary and quite frankly Savanath is my fave character so far. :D

I like to look at this and play Boadicea by Enya.
I like to look at this in general.
Don't know why, but I just can't get over his facial expression, can't stop wondering over his hands and the cords. It's just all so amazing.

The concept and the colours are mindblowing. I see you've become a bit of a regular on the DD circuit, not without reason!

I think I know what you're getting at when you imply that you aren't entirely satisfied though. I understood right away that the setting was essentially diorama, and there was nothing wrong with that. The bit that looks off is that the perspectives don't match: while the floor has a vanishing point, the walls on the side (allowing for the fact they're burning), don't. But if you had used that same vanishing points those walls would have gone quite high and distorted the composition of the piece as well as not matched the perspective on Savanth!

All in all not a big thing. For my part even the thumbnail caught my attention and given I look at maybe 0.005% of the deviations that appear on my watch list, that's saying something!

I see a lot of things I'd like to do better next time, you're absolutely right about the vanishing point. I just couldn't get it to work for me. I'm not particularly adept when it comes to drawing buildings because I never draw them, but I gave it a bash in any case. =P I appreciate the feedback. Thank you Strop!

You're welcome. Perspective aside, the building detail and texture is superb!
