Lepids - Prototypes

I thought I'd try my hand at developing my own original species with designs that I find fun or interesting to draw. Moths and butterflies come in such a gorgeous array of patterns and colours that I wanted to take advantage of, but purely insectoid anthros don't really take my fancy, so I combined them with some draconic/mammalian elements where I felt they were needed. They do have their own lore and culture that is a work in progress currently, but I wanted to pop up the two subtypes - Diurnids and Nocturnids. Diurnids are based off of butterfly species, Nocturnids off of moths.

I'll probably offer these as premade characters for you guys to play, and they won't be drawn on a template. Each Lepid is unique with subtle variations in their overall physical aspects, but I've outlined the primary aesthetic differences in Diurnid and Nocturnid Lepids here. They also won't be categorized by their rarity as that isn't how their hierarchy works. They're a very civilized and advanced species, and while they do have instinctual tendencies, they don't tend to be primal or feral in nature. Diurnids tend to be creative, energetic and spiritual, and Nocturnids tend to be thoughtful, intuitive and scholarly (though none of these traits are mutually exclusive).

I'll likely keep these two girls as my mascots, or one at the very least if I can decide which one I like better, but obviously they'll have hair, outfits and all the other bits required to flesh them out design-wise.

I hope you guys dig them. If anybody is interested in having one of their own, please let me know. I don't know how I'll price each piece, but I don't want to offer "rare" traits for higher prices or anything like that. It'll probably be some kind of flat rate (I'm thinking something like $50 for a fully designed Lepid) with some random ones popped up for auction here and there. This is all assuming folks would be interested in developing and playing one, or just want one to own (or if you're like me, just to draw when the mood strikes).
